The Lune Valley is a popular spot for walkers, bordering the Forest of Bowland (an area of outstanding natural beauty) and the Yorkshire Dales. The River Lune Millennium Park stretches some 15km along the banks of the Lune from Bull Beck near Caton to Salt Ayre in Lancaster. It has linked footpaths and cycleways, and the route is decorated with unusual and thought-provoking artwork and information points.
